Police searching for suspects in Haddam bank robbery

HADDAM, CT (WFSB) -

The Connecticut State Police are looking for the man who is responsible for a robbery at a bank in the Tylerville section of Haddam Friday morning.

According to police, a man with a stocky build and wearing a baseball hat entered the Liberty Bank on Bridge Street around 10 a.m.

The man demanded money from the teller, however police said he never showed a weapon.

The man, who was wearing a blue denim jacket and blue jeans, fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money in a black plastic bag.

State police searched the area and collected evidence, however the suspect was not located.

The robbery remains under investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to call state police at 860-399-2100.
