NEW LONDON, CT (WFSB) -
The city of New London along with the New London Police Department will be hosting a gun buyback program over the weekend.
It will be held at New London's police department substation on Truman Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Anyone that sells their guns will receive a prepaid gift card, officials said.
Handguns will be bought for $100, while shotguns and rifles will be $75. Police also said $150 will be given for assault rifles.
Another program is also scheduled for next weekend as well.
