A motor vehicle hit the rear portion of city hall in Hartford after a multiple-car crash on Wednesday afternoon.
Few details about the incident have been released, but emergency officials said the two-car crash occurred on Prospect Street sometime before 4:30 p.m.
Two people were seriously injured in the crash and were taken to an area hospital, fire officials said.
According to emergency officials, one of the two cars involved in the crash went through a red light and crashed into the other vehicle.
The structural integrity of the building was being investigated.
However, no one has been ordered to leave city hall and business continued as usual.
No other information was released.
