A South Windsor man is in some hot water after police said he faked chest pains in an attempt to escape police custody.
On Tuesday police arrested 35-year-old Corey Ouimette on several warrants. Police said during processing he began to complain about chest pains and was brought to Manchester Hospital to be checked out.
During the medical screening, police said he tried to escape by pushing an officer standing guard and fleeing toward an exit.
The officer was able to subdue Ouimette with a Taser.
Ouimette was then discharged and was returned to the police station.
He was charged with escape from custody, two counts of failure to appear in court and violation of probation.
He was held on $82,500 bond and appeared in court on Wednesday.
