Police investigate overnight crash in Waterbury

WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Waterbury are investigating the cause of an overnight car crash.

It happened just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning near the intersection of Perkins Avenue and Wigwam Avenue.

Police said two people inside the car had to be extricated from the vehicle. They were taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries. Their current condition remains unknown.

At this point, police have not released any further information.
