Police investigate robbery in West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

Police in West Haven are investigating after an early-morning robbery.

It happened around 4:15 a.m. Sunday morning in the area of West Spring Street and Stevens Avenue.

Police said a hearing impaired man was walking in the area when he was approached by three men with handguns.

According to officials, the three suspects then pistol-whipped him and took his phone and wallet.

Police have described the suspects as white men with a black and white colored car.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out. He is expected to be OK.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Haven police.
