Man wanted for theft at Uconn, arrested in Iowa

STORRS, CT (WFSB) -

The man accused of stealing several items from residents at a campus apartment at the University of Connecticut has been arrested.

Police have confirmed to Eyewitness News that Michael Moses Tarpeh, 23, also known as "Big Mike" was apprehended by authorities in Iowa.

Tarpeh is currently wanted in both West Virginia and Massachusetts on charges including attempted sexual assault and robbery.

Eyewitness News has contacted Uconn police, but officials there have not released any further information about the incident.
