PD: Teen disappeared after fire in Andover

ANDOVER, CT (WFSB) -

The Connecticut State Police are asking for the public's help locating an endangered runaway from Andover, whose home burned down Monday morning.

State police issued a Silver Alert for James Baver, 16, who was last seen in the area of School Road at 10:14 a.m.

According to state police, Baver lives at the home where a fire was discovered Monday around 10 a.m.

The residence was deemed uninhabitable because of water and smoke damage, fire officials said.

One woman was taken to a local hospital for serious, but non life-threatening injuries, police said.

Baver is described as a white male about 5'11" tall, 175 pounds with red hair and blue eyes.

State police said that Baver's disappearance and the fire are "coincidental."

Anyone with information into here whereabouts is asked to call the Connecticut State Police at 860-537-7500.

The fire remains under investigation and it's unclear where the fire started or if it is suspicious in nature.
