MARLBOROUGH, CT (WFSB) -
The Connecticut State Police are looking for the person responsible for shooting at a home and a dog near Route 2 in Marlborough on Monday night.
Troopers were called to the area of Portland Road around 9:30 p.m. after reports of shots were fired.
Upon arrival, troopers found the sliding glass door window of a home had been shattered.
The homeowner and his girlfriend were home at the time, but neither one was seriously injured.
A dog was shot and taken to a local hospital where the bullet was removed.
In total, police said at least three bullet casings were found.
State police said there are no suspects at this time and the incident remains under investigation.
