WEST HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

A West Haven man found guilty to murder and other charges for the shooting death of one of his friends in December 2011.

On Dec. 6, 2011, Dallas Boomer, 31, of Hamden was found "slumped over the steering wheel" of his car near the intersection of Willis and Fournier Streets after being shot in the back.

Boomer, who was married with two little girls and another on the way, was taken to Saint Raphael's Hospital where he died a short time later.

On Feb. 8, 2012,  police arrested Kenneth "Kent" McCoy, 30, in connection with his murder.

Police said that McCoy and Boomer were friends, however they have been involved in an argument before Boomer's death.

On Monday, McCoy was found guilty on charges and is expected to be sentenced in May.
