Postal truck crashes in Waterford

WATERFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A post office worker was seriously injured after her delivery vehicle crashed in Waterford Wednesday afternoon.

Officers were called to a one-car crash involving a United States Postal truck on Butlertown Road near the Montville town line at 1:47 p.m.

A 54-year-old postal employee was taken by a medical helicopter to Hartford Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Waterford Police Department at 860-442-9451.
