CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A 1-time city-county schools superintendent in Clarksville who later served as headmaster of Clarksville Academy has pleaded guilty to assaulting two women and been placed on 18 months of judicial supervision.
The Leaf-Chronicle reports (http://leafne.ws/12TtFPv ) that 80-year-old John "Johnny" Dillard Miller Sr., entered the plea Thursday. Miller originally stood charged with one count of sexual battery and two counts of assault, but entered the plea to lesser charges.
Judge John H. Gasaway placed Miller on a six month diversion for one count and an 11 month and 29 days diversion on the second count.
The charges stem from allegations that Miller forced a woman to touch his genitals and forcefully kissing her on the mouth before she was able to pull away in July 2012.
