Amtrak warns of delays after weekend derailment

NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

Amtrak officials are warning passengers that there could be delays Monday morning after a weekend train derailment over the weekend.

It happened early Sunday morning when three empty freight car derailed, causing a temporary suspension of service between New York and Boston.

An Amtrak Spokesman told Eyewitness News that some delays could be possible for trains going through the New Haven area.
