Route 15 reopened after a tree fell onto a vehicle

ORANGE, CT (WFSB) -

Route 15 Southbound in Orange has reopened after a tree fell onto a car Saturday afternoon causing a major traffic headache.

The southbound side of the highway was closed for about two hours while DOT cleared the tree from the highway.

Police were called to the area between exits 57 and 56 around 4:30 p.m.

State police tell Eyewitness News that there were minor injuries due to the accident.
