Woodville native Kree Harrison has taken Hollywood by storm, and is still in the running to become the next American Idol.
Each week, family and friends have gathered at The Tree restaurant on Magnolia Street to watch the country crooner sing her heart out.
But this week, Michele Martindale and her friends decided to do something a little different in honor of their hometown girl.
"We decided to bring everybody (to the house) and do the Kree party and we've been celebrating in town ever since it started," Martindale said.
The rambunctious group of ladies were having more of a bit of fun as they showed their love for the contestant, making sure to voice their opinion about Harrison.
"She is the next American Idol," said Deana Pate.
"We're behind her," Martindale said.
Tonight's theme featured Motown hits and Harrison's rendition of Madonna's "Like a Prayer," blew the judges, and her fans, away.
But the duet with fellow contestant Janelle Arthur was not received well by judge Nicki Minaj who said Harrison stole the show, and her fans agree.
"Oh (she) definitely outshined. I like Janelle, but she doesn't hold a candle to Kree. She really doesnt," said Ashley Jackson.
Deana Pate, who's oldest daughter is friends with Harrison, says she is so proud.
"We're so proud of her. She's just the sweetest girl with the biggest personality. What you see on TV is exactly what you see at home. And we're just so excited for her," Pate said.
The ladies said they will be watching Harrison every week, but there is no doubt in their minds that she will win the competition.
"We just can't wait to see her go all the way," said Martindale.
