Two men have been arrested after police discovered hundreds of hallucinogenic mushrooms in a pair of Middle Tennessee homes.
Officers serving a search warrant at a Brentwood home found hundreds of jars and bags containing mushroom spores and others with fully processed mushrooms.
They even found a portable cement mixer allegedly used to mix chemicals for the growing operation.
Police arrested the owner of the home, 41-year-old Christopher Coxey, and charged him with several counts of felony drug and gun possession.
While questioning Coxey, he allegedly told detectives about a similar scene at another home he owns on Burgandy Hill Road in south Nashville.
The man who rents that home, 36-year-old Jeremy Davis, is also under arrest for charges of felony drug possession and tampering with evidence.
Davis is accused of trying to flush mushrooms down the toilet so police wouldn't find them.
