Police arrest men for car break-in at Danbury Fair Mall

DANBURY, CT (WFSB) -

Police arrested two men for breaking into a Jeep Cherokee at the Danbury Fair Mall on Friday.

It happened around 9:50 p.m. when mall security contacted police to investigate.

Police say they found Williams in the driver's seat of the car, and Zanfardno trying to open the passenger's door.

Initially, the men claimed they were looking for a cell phone. After questioning, the two admitted that they didn't know the owner of the car.

Williams is facing charges of third-degree burglary, Third-degree conspiracy to commit burglary and criminal attempt to commit burglary.

Zanfardno charged with third-degree conspiracy to commit burglary and criminal attempt to commit burglary.
