NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence after he smashed into a Pizza Hut in Antioch early Tuesday morning.

The wreck happened just before 2 a.m.

The crash left a large hole in the building, which sits near the corner of Murfreesboro Pike and Bell Road.

Metro police said the driver, Jason E. Bush Sr., 44, lost control of his sport-utility vehicle and ran off the road, where it hit an embankment and slammed into the restaurant.

Bush was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

According to cleanup crews, it could be days or even weeks before the restaurant reopens.

Bush faces DUI charges, driving on a revoked/suspended license and possession of revoked/suspended license.

Bush was arrested in October 2012 on a suspended license.
