Police said a convicted drunken driver came barreling through a Nashville construction site and came dangerously close to running into a worker early Wednesday morning.
Prior to the arrest of the driver, George Vaughtner, he'd been convicted for driving under the influence three times.
In this latest incident, Metro police said an officer pulled in front of the driver around midnight to prevent him from slamming into a construction truck.
The officer that pulled over Vaughtner said his car was filled with beer bottles and cans.
According the jail documents Vaughtner was convicted of DUI three times in 2008 after being pulled over in Rutherford County.
