One of the Democratic candidates for what used to be John Kerry's U.S. Senate seat spent his Saturday in Western Mass.
Rep. Stephen Lynch capped off a day of campaigning with a stop at the John Boyle O'Reilly Club.
His stumping across the Pioneer Valley coincided with a report out Saturday that his opponent in the Democratic primary, Rep. Ed Markey, is currently drawing the most financial support.
But Lynch told CBS 3 his campaign is doing just fine.
"Well, I started out a couple million dollars short of my friend, so that is to be expected," said Lynch. "I will be out-spent, but I will not be out-worked that is for sure. So, I think we have got enough money for a decent campaign and the rest is shoe-leather. That is what we have been trying to do over the past few weeks."
Lynch and Markey will square off in a debate in Springfield on April 18.
The Democratic primary is slated for April 30.
