Three people have pleaded not guilty to charges accusing them of murdering a Welton woman whose body was found in a Yuma citrus grove.
An indictment charges 31-year-old Jose Jimenez, 24-year-old Brandi Michalski and 22-year-old Andres Francisco Flores Galindo each with two counts of murder in the killing of 28-year-old Christal Figueroa.
Each defendant faces other charges in addition to one count of premeditated murder and one count of felony murder.
The Yuma Sun reports that the three pleaded not guilty during arraignments Monday in Yuma County Superior Court.
Figueroa was a mother of three. Her body was found March 22. She had been shot 16 times with three different weapons.
Yuma police say Michalski and Figueroa were friends until recently while Jimenez was a former boyfriend of Figueroa.
