TORRINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

An ice cream shop open less than a month had its Hershey's sign stolen from outside the Main Street business last week, but on Monday the sign was located in a local pawn shop.

According to the shop's Facebook page, the sign, which is about 5 feet wide and 3 feet tall, was stolen from the front of the shop Thursday night. The shop's owners fought back, though, and said they were monitoring websites like eBay and Craigslist, and called all the local scrap yards and pawnshops to inform them about the theft.

"It's a crazy world we live in," read a post on the shop's Facebook page. "I'm just sad that anyone would stoop to such a level of low."
