A dreary start to the week, but we're heading to warmer than average temps once again

Posted: Updated:

Good Monday morning everyone!  Almost a quarter of an inch of rain fell in many areas of the Upstate Sunday night into this morning, causing quite a dreary start to the day.  Mostly cloudy skies continue through the afternoon, with highs reaching into the low 70s Upstate, and upper 60s for the mountains.  Overnight tonight we're looking at partly cloudy skies with lows in the mid to upper 50s.  Tuesday, partly cloudy skies move back in, with highs back to above-average in the upper 70s Upstate, mid 70s in western N.C.  We're looking to stay dry and warm through Wednesday and Thursday as well, with a cold front bringing our next chance for showers and storms on Friday.  Luckily, once that front passes we're back to sunshine, though cooler temperatures in the 50s and 60s.
