HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -
Following the explosions at the finish line at the Boston Marathon, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has ordered the United States and Connecticut flags to fly at half-staff in honor of the victims.
The governor said the "thoughts and prayers" of Connecticut are with the people of Massachusetts.
"Connecticut is ready to lend whatever assistance is needed in the wake of this tragedy," Malloy said. "Our emergency responders and law enforcement have offered support and resources to Massachusetts, and we will continue to stand by our neighbor throughout their recovery efforts."
Flags are to remain at half-staff until sunset Saturday.
Two bombs exploded seconds apart along the crowded street near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon killing at least three people and injuring more than 170 people.
