The wicked weather falling in Mid-Michigan has left a number of customers without power Thursday morning and more outages are expected throughout the day.
About 1,000 customers were offline in the TV5 viewing area at around 6:45 a.m. Thursday morning but a number of those outages have been restored. As of 9:45 a.m., power outage numbers reported by Consumer's Energy are as little as 100 customers.
A pocket of outages is being reported in Saginaw County's Brant Township. That pocket, near Pickerel Creek, has about 55 customers offline.
Many outages are being reported by DTE Energy in the Thumb area. In Huron County, about 130 customers are in the dark in widespread outages, stretching from Sebewaing to Owendale. Another 20 customers are offline near South Caseville Road and Kilmanaugh Road.
Over 100 customers are in the dark in a pocket of outages just west of the town of Caro. The area is near Van Geisen Road and Purdy Road.
Around 150 customers are offline just west of the town of Millington.
41 customers are offline in a pocket near the intersection of South Vassar Road and West Sanilac Road.
There is a huge pocket of outages being reported in Lapeer County's Marathon Township. The affected area is south of Otter Lake. About 645 customers are in the dark there.
Another 273 customers are in the dark in the area of Columbiaville Road and Klemm Road.
There are also reports of many small outage pockets in Lapeer County.
