Interfaith leaders in the greater Hartford area announced an interfaith memorial service to honor the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.
The service will be held from 7-8 p.m. at the Islamic Associated of Greater Hartford, located at 1781 Berlin Turnpike, Berlin.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their family members. We come together in unity and solidarity to seek comfort and healing," said Dr. Reza Mansoor, president of the Islamic Association of Greater Hartford.
Leaders said the service will be dedicated to heal from the horrific events at the finish line at the Boston Marathon on Monday.
"We are shocked and saddened at the loss of life and maiming of innocent civilians. We stand together as a faith community, shoulder to shoulder offering our support and prayers," said Bishop James Curry.
