A bomb threat at the mall in Meriden was investigated by Connecticut authorities Friday afternoon.
Around 3 p.m., police officials said a mall security guard got a call from a person being described at a young male that said a bomb would go off in the mall at 5 PM.
The state police bomb squad did a thorough sweep of the mal before deciding the threat was a prank call.
The bomb threat was over by 5 p.m., according to police.
