Thousands made their way out to the Town Common, all in the name of legalizing marijuana.
Saturday afternoon marked the 22nd annual Extravaganja Festival.
The event is put on each year by the UMass Cannabis Reform Coalition, which is a student run group.
This year, attendees applauded the recent passing of medical marijuana in the Bay State.
Organizers told CBS 3 that, for them, it is a big step in the right direction.
There is no official word on the attendance total for this year, but last year's event drew an estimated 6,000 people.
