Prosecutors have decided not to criminally charge the driver of a daycare van who left a 17-month-old baby in the hot vehicle where he died.
The driver claimed he unintentionally left the baby in the vehicle parked on Dorchester Street back in September 2011.
The baby was in the van for up to six hours.
Suffolk County prosecutors had considered charging the man with involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment of a child.
Though the prosecutors announced Tuesday that they had changed their decision after the man did not show signs of having a conscious disregard which is required for such charges.
