A man has been arrested in connection with an arson fire in Glendale on April 30.
The suspect, whose name was not released, faces multiple criminal charges, said Glendale Fire Department spokesman Michael Young.
Fire crews determined a fire in a storage shed at 6700 N. 59th Dr. was deliberately set. The fire quickly spread to dry oleanders, others storage sheds on the property and finally to an occupied duplex.
The suspect, who lives at the home with his girlfriend, admitted that he ignited the shed, which was occupied as a living space by a mutual friend, Young said. The friend suffered minor burns to his leg but refused treatment.
Witnesses identified the suspect, who fled the scene prior to the arrival of fire and police officials.
