BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) -

Police in neighboring towns are investigating two robberies that occurred within an hour of each other Tuesday night.

According to police, a man wearing a black mask entered the Subway at 2835 Fairfield Ave. in Bridgeport just before 9 p.m.

The man displayed a large silver revolver and demanded money from the employee at the restaurant.

It is unclear if the employee was injured and how much, if any, money was taken.

In the surveillance video released by police, the suspect can be seen removing his mask during the robbery.

According to police, a robbery was reported in the Devon section of Milford 45 minutes later.

Investigators said the description of the suspect involved in the robbery that occurred in the 100 block of Bridgeport Avenue in Milford matched that of the one involved in the Bridgeport Subway robbery.

Witnesses told police that the suspect may have been driving a 1996-2000 White Acura Cl with blue LED headlights.

Anyone with any information about the Subway robbery is asked to call the Bridgeport Police Department at 203-581-5100 or Milford police at 203-878-6551.
