NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

A vehicle stolen following a home invasion in New Haven Monday afternoon was located early Thursday morning.

On Monday, two older women were carrying groceries into their first-floor apartment in the 200 block of Huntington Street through their back door around 4 p.m. when they said they were confronted by two men.

One of them was armed with a handgun and the two women, ages 71 and 58, were forced inside.

The elder of the two women was also tied up, according to police, but neither of them was seriously injured.

The victim's car, which is a 2003 Pontiac Aztek, was located at midnight on Thursday.

Police towed the vehicle to its garage to gather forensic evidence.

The first suspect was described as a thin black male standing between 5'8" and 6' tall and looked to be in his early 20s. He wore all black and was wearing a black, flat-brimmed baseball cap "that was too large for his head."

The second man, who wore all black, was described as a thin black male about 5'7" tall, had short hair and also looked to be in his early 20s.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 203-946-6316.
