Police arrest man involved in double shooting outside night club

NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

A New Haven man was arrested in connection with a double shooting outside a nightclub in February.

Officers were called to the Taurus Club, located in the 500 block of Winchester Avenue, where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds around 12:45 a.m. on Feb. 15.

Leonard Brown, 57, and Chris Erkerd, 19, both of New Haven were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to witness statements, people were exiting the club when they saw people getting shot. Erkerd crawled back inside the club after being shot.

Police arrested Keith Moore, 23, on Wednesday morning.

Moore, who has a long criminal history, was charged with two counts of first-degree assault, carrying a pistol without a permit, criminal possession of a pistol, illegal discharge of a firearm and first-degree reckless endangerment.
