NORWICH, CT (WFSB) -

A police pursuit caused two schools in Norwich to be placed in lockdown, investigators said.

The superintendent's office confirmed Teacher's Memorial Middle School and Stanton Elementary School were in lockdown for a brief period of time.

School officials said it was a controlled lockdown. The lockdown was lifted, so students could go home.

There were no reported injuries.
