Valley police are looking for the suspect who they say viciously attacked a 91-year-old woman and raped her inside her home on 55th Street.
Saturday night around 8:30, valley police say a 911 call came in from an elderly lady needing help at her Valley home.
"She was locking the door of her residence… there was a man on her back porch, he asked if he could come in and use the phone, she said no and that's when he forced his way in," said Valley Police Chief Tommy Weldon.
The 91-year-old victim suffered minor injuries when the suspect pushed her to the floor along with the injuries inflicted during the rape.
She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, and investigators hope they have DNA on the suspect.
Meanwhile, police say it does not appear the man was armed with a gun or a knife, and the elderly lady was physically unable to fight back.
"She described the suspect as a black male, in his late teens or early 20's, he was clean shaven, with a slim build, short hair with a white shirt with yellow lettering and blue jean shorts or blue athletic shorts," said Chief Weldon.
A neighbor told police they had seen a man matching that description wandering the neighborhood earlier that Saturday.
"We do have a name and investigators are actively looking for this guy," said Chief Weldon.
