NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
WSMV-TV and Kroger are teaming up with the American Red Cross to help the victims of the deadly Oklahoma tornado.
Beginning Tuesday, Kroger shoppers can leave donations at any Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky Kroger stores' check-out lanes, and the donations will go directly to the Red Cross relief efforts in Moore, OK, and surrounding communities.
Kroger is also matching $50,000 of the donations made.
"We are thankful for this opportunity to work with the American Red Cross to lend a helping hand," said Melissa Eads, community affairs manager for Kroger, in a press release. "Kroger customers and associates have a history of giving during times of disasters such as these."
Anyone wishing to make a donation can add any dollar amount they wish to their total purchase at their time of checkout, and 100 percent of the funds collected will go to the American Red Cross.
