Las Vegas Metro police said actress and singer Pia Zadora was arrested at her Las Vegas home Saturday.
According to an arrest report, officers were called to Zadora's home after someone called 911 and reported that she was going crazy and choking him.
Officers arrived at the home and tried to make contact with the people inside, according to the report. The report said that when no one answered, police entered the home and heard people talking in a bedroom. Officers ordered the people out of the bedroom, but they refused to exit, according to the report. That was when officers left the home and called in a SWAT team. Eventually, Zadora exited the home with her son and was interviewed by officers.
Zadora told police, according to the report, that she got into an argument with her family after she told them she was ready to go to sleep, but they refused to turn in. She told police that she grabbed a water hose and began spraying her family. She said she may have scratched someone who was trying to get the hose away from her. She said that later another family member tried to call 911, and she may have scratched them when she was trying to get the phone away from them.
According to the report, Zadora told officers that she did not immediately exit the home when officers told her to because her husband said he would take care of it, so she went to sleep. She said she exited the home after she awoke to the sound of firecrackers. She said she called 911 and an operator told her to go outside.
Officials said Zadora had not been formally charged as of Monday morning, but the case is being reviewed. She has since bailed out of jail.
Zadora, 61, first gained fame as a child actor on Broadway, starring in Fiddler on the Roof in the mid-1960s. She later won a Golden Globe award for her performance alongside Stacy Keach and Orson Welles in the 1981 film Butterfly. Zadora additionally was nominated for a Grammy award in 1984 for the song Rock It Out.
According to her online bio, Zadora has been married to a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department detective since 2005.
