(CNN) -- Channing and Jenna Dewan-Tatum have welcomed a baby girl.
The two actors became first-time parents while in London on May 31. Tatum's been working overseas filming scenes for his upcoming movie, "Jupiter Ascending."
"Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Channing Tatum are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter, Everly Tatum," said a statement on the actor's official website. "Sending love and light to Chan, Jenna and Ms. Everly!"
The busy parents have been eagerly anticipating Everly's arrival. Tatum, 33, said when he was named Sexiest Man Alive in 2012 that he and his wife of nearly four years were pretty ready to start a family.
"The first number that pops into my head is three," Tatum said of the number of kids he wants to have, "but I just want one to be healthy and then we'll see where we go after that."
Dewan-Tatum, 32, added to Glamour magazine in April that she and her husband, whom she met on the set of 2006's "Step Up," have had a bit of furry help in the parenting department.
"Who knows what kind of parents we'll be?" the "American Horror Story" actress said. "We have two dogs, so we've had some practice! And as soon as this baby comes into the world, Channing and I will figure it out real fast."
Although Tatum's busy shooting a new movie, he'll also be in theaters on June 28 in the action movie "White House Down" with Jamie Foxx.
