Mohegan Sun Massachusetts has announced it will expand "Working at and Working with Mohegan Sun," their new job and vendor series for the community.
The additional events will provide residents, business and community leaders with an overview and detailed information on potential careers and vendor opportunities in the resort gaming industry.
"The first two events of this conversation series provided us with a valuable opportunity to engage with the local community and continue to develop a working relationship with them" said Mitchell Etess, chief executive officer of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority.
He continued: "Mohegan Sun has a sixteen year history of hiring and buying locally from the communities where we operate, and we're excited to continue this series to provide additional insight into the industry and the variety of employment and vendor opportunities it offers."
During the workshop series, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Mohegan Sun Connecticut employees in a variety of fields who will discuss their careers with the company.
Specific careers include table games and slot operations, casino accounting and finance, security, food and beverage, marketing and public relations, casino representatives and hosts, materials management, transportation, engineering, environmental services, human resources, information systems, and hotel sales and marketing.
Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in an informal networking session.
The additional three workshops will take place in Chicopee on June 18, in Holyoke on June 26, and in Sturbridge on June 27.
The Chicopee event will take place at Elms College at 6 p.m., the Holyoke event will be located at the Holyoke Intermodal Center at 6 p.m. and the Sturbridge event will be at Old Sturbridge Village at 6 p.m.
