CHANDLER, AZ (CBS5) -

The missing teen was located in Texas, in the company of a 25 year old man from North Carolina.  It is unclear how the two met, but they may have met via the Internet.  We are told that Cassidy is safe and unharmed.

Texas DPS is actively investigating the case and will be seeking any applicable charges against the man, based on the findings of their investigation.  Cassidy will return home with her mother after being interviewed.

Police were searching for the 15-year-old who disappeared from her Chandler home without her needed medications.

The Chandler Police Department said Cassidy Bejarano left her home in the 4500 block of W. Boston St. about 9:30 a.m. Friday and left her mother a note saying she was going to California.

She left without the daily medications she needs, making her a missing and endangered child, police said.

Police do not know at this time if she got a ride or if she's attempting to go on foot. Police are unsure where in California she may be headed.

Bejarano is described as 5'2'' tall and 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing an olive-green and white striped "V" neck sweater with three buttons. She may also be wearing green pants.

If you see her or know her whereabouts, please call Chandler police at 480-782-4130.
