PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -
Police have a woman in custody after a fight involving three men, two of whom were stabbed and another beaten in Peoria on Wednesday morning.
A police spokeswoman said the woman participated in the fight and was facing possible charges of aggravated assault.
The fight was believed to have been romantically motivated, but the woman in custody was not at the center of the purported love triangle, the spokeswoman said.
The three men were believed to have met in a confrontation about a woman, and one of the men called 911 to report he had stabbed the other two, said Amanda Jacinto, a spokeswoman for the Peoria Police Department.
The fight happened near 89th Avenue and Greenbrian Drive in Peoria about 1 a.m.
The man who reported the altercation was also found to have suffered injuries from being beaten, Jacinto said.
Police contacted all individuals connected with the three men, including the woman in question, and no other suspects were being sought, Jacinto said.
The woman, 19-year-old Amber Jones, was later taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault. She was not injured in the fight.
The three men were in stable condition in the hospital. The investigation is still active and there was no word on pending charges against the men.
