Town officials held a meeting Wednesday morning to discuss a plan to battle mosquitoes.
The Mosquito Control Program of the Milford Health Department organizes ways to identify, treat and prevent mosquito breeding sites.
Milford Health Department officials said All Habitat Services, the mosquito control consultant for Milford, monitors 101 established breeding sites. The service routinely treats the areas with biological larvicide, as well as catch basins.
Town officials hope to format one plan involving a larvicide blower. The mosquito larva blower allows the operator to blow little chemical pellets that go into the water and kill larva.
This will help to prevent mosquito breeding throughout the town breeding sites.
