Bridgeport man accused of exposing himself in mall

Posted: Updated:

Police in Trumbull said they arrested a man for exposing himself inside a local mall on Tuesday.

Security personnel at the Westfield Shoppingtown said they apprehended and detained 37-year-old Ronald Dudley, of Bridgeport.

Court documents show that Dudley walked up to two workers at a mall kiosk with his shirt up past his belly, which exposed his penis over his boxers and pants.

Mall employees told police it appeared that Dudley wanted them to see it.

Trumbull police said they were called to the mall and took custody of Dudley at a bus stop. Police said he tried to run onto a bus that had just arrived, but was arrested.

A further investigation charged him with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace and public indecency.

This isn't Dudley's first run-in with the law. Police said he has an extensive criminal history in Georgia and New York that involves "numerous sex offenses."

He was arraigned in court on Wednesday. His bond was set for $25,000 and his next court appearance is set for Aug. 14.
