2 men accused of selling drugs out of Hartford apartment

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Two Hartford men were arrested after 66 bags of heroin where found in an apartment in the city Tuesday.

The Statewide Narcotic Task Force along with Hartford police officers executed a warrant at a residence at 18-20 Hamilton St. after reports of marijuana and heroin being stored and sold there.

During the investigation, police seized the following items:

  • 66 bags of heroin
  • Several digital scales
  • Plastic packaging materials
  • About 2 pounds of marijuana packaged, which was packaged for street sales
  • Four marijuana plants
  • More than $7,650

Jorge Diaz, 32, and Leslie Daniels, 50, were arrested.

Diaz was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics within 1500 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Daniels was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school, operating a drug factory, illegal cultivation of marijuana and risk of injury to a minor.

Both men are being held on a $50,000 bond and are expected to be arraigned at Hartford Superior Court on July 23.
