A gas line break that occurred Thursday morning at a McDonald's restaurant has now been repaired, according to local police.
The restaurant is in the process of installing a second drive-thru lane. During this construction, a Bobcat driver digging the ground cut a gas line that leads into the McDonald's.
Police issued an alert at 8:48 a.m. but then sent another one less than a hour later that said it had been repaired.
The leak prompted the restaurant to be evacuated. The gas was shut off and remains that way now.
Police said the Bobcat operator will be cited for failing to call ahead to mark the gas line before he began digging.
The restaurant is not expected to reopen until Thursday afternoon.
No injures were reported.
