WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -

State police are searching for two inmates, who escaped from the Chasse Center Halfway House in Waterbury Saturday night.

Tjayda Jones and Marcos Jimenez were transported from the halfway house to Waterbury Hospital for a possible drug overdose.

Both inmates were left at the hospital, where one assaulted a nurse, knocking her to the floor and fled the scene.

Jones had arranged for a vehicle to pick him up from the hospital, and was able to get away.

According to police, Jones was serving time for assault and robbery, and is a priority to apprehend.

Jimenez was serving time for violation of probation.

Police believe Jones may be somewhere in the Hartford area.

Jimenez was last seen in Waterbury, but last resided in Meriden.
