Parking permits are becoming available for the New Haven Line's new West Haven Rail Station.
Starting Monday, commuters interested in purchasing the permits can contact CTrides for more information. The West Haven Station is tentatively scheduled to open Sunday, Aug. 18. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is still being planned. The station's parking lot will accommodate 658 vehicles.
Permits for the station will be valid from Sept. 1 through Feb. 28, 2014. They will cost $300 for a six-month period. Passengers without a permit will pay $6 a day.
