The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said the body pulled from the coastal waters of Connecticut was confirmed to be Yuri Kirpichev.
Kirpichev was fishing at the mouth of the Connecticut River near Old Saybrook with his two sons and a friend when he fell out of the boat while trying to retrieve a fishing rod that fell into the water.
The United States Coast Guard launched a search effort to find Kirpichev, but were unsuccessful.
A body was pulled from the water on July 4, and it was later confirmed to Kirpichev's by Clinton police as well on Tuesday.
Kirpichev was from West Springfield, MA.
