Hernandez jury to hear from Alexander Bradley

BOSTON (WFSB) -

A man who is suing Aaron Hernandez for shooting him in the face will appear before a grand jury.

Alexander Bradley will testify in Massachusetts Wednesday.

The grand jury is looking into allegations that Hernandez was involved with the shooting death of Odin Lloyd last month.

Authorities in Massachusetts want to hear from Bradley because they believe his testimony is relevant to the Hernandez investigation.

Bradley's attorney tried to challenge his appearance earlier this month, but the request was denied.

As the former New England Patriots star sits alone in a jail cell, a grand jury will hear from Bradley, an East Hartford native, who is suing Hernandez for shooting him in the face, which caused him to lose an eye.

Court documents from Massachusetts released earlier this month reveal that the grand jury believes there are "similarities" between the incident and the shooting death of Lloyd, and they're looking into Hernandez's involvement in Lloyd's death.

Meanwhile one group is voicing its concerns for Hernandez.

The American Civil Liberties Union is worried about how he's being treated in jail.

Hernandez is kept in solitary confinement with no air conditioning while he waits for his murder trial to begin. The group is arguing the isolation could potentially have harmful effects on Hernandez's mental health.

Bradley also appeared in court Tuesday on a drunk driving charge. A state police report said Bradley was driving 105 mph on Boston's Southeast Expressway in January with Hernandez in his car.
