Car fire slows traffic on I-91 in Rocky Hill

ROCKY HILL, CT (WFSB) -

State police and fire crews have cleared the scene of an early morning car fire that slowed down traffic on Interstate 91 in Rocky Hill.

Crews were called to the scene around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, and when they arrived, a vehicle was fully involved in flames.

Police shut down two lanes of the highway while firefighters worked to knock down the flames and remove the car from the highway.

There is no word if anyone was injured as a result of the fire.

The highway was fully reopened about an hour later, officials said.
